Hazmat Units Called To Multi-Vehicle Crash With Dump Truck In Maryland: Officials

Traffic was tied up in Prince George's County on Thursday morning after several vehicles were involved in a crash that led to a diesel fuel leak.

Shortly after 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, officials say that there was a vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Branch Avenue near Surratts Road in Clinton involving a dump truck.

The crash led to several lanes being closed on Branch Avenue as crews cleaned up the scene and police investigated.

Six vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash, and photos from the scene shared online show the dump truck on its side with debris strewn across the roadway.

Two minor injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
